We loved the originality of this plot. Where do you ever get a porn star and a sweet texan in the same book? Well hold on ladies because you're going to get more than just that. This was our second book from Kirsty and it didn't disappoint. While it was completely different to what we had read in the past we were blown away by the humor and how light hearted it was. If you are looking for a fun pick me up book, this is it.

Decker Steel has lost his mojo! Being a porn star, he needs it back. After taking a year off of acting, and focusing more on the directing of it, he is still missing his mojo. He can’t get it up for the life of him, using ‘that’ little pill to help him save face isn’t solving anything, it’s just hiding his issue. But when someone from his past steps back into his life, Decker’s issues just might be solved.

"At that moment, the strangest thing happened. My d!c£ twitched and I stopped breathing."

Andi Jennings, known affectionately by Decker as 'Country', she has moved to New York for a fresh start at life. When her cousin, more like a brother, sends his best friend Decker to pick her up from the airport and help her settle in, Andi is smitten. She still has her schoolgirl crush on the man that she can't help but like. Remembering him from their childhood as the guy with a different girl attached to him, years have passed and Andi has grown up. She’s no longer the nerdy quiet girl, she’s sassy, and gorgeous, and is getting a rise out of little Decker.

"A-holism, I've heard of that, it can be very debilitating."

We thought we knew the direction this book was headed from the start, but instead the side characters, of which consist of an array of fabulous people including, gay neighbours, and loving parents and the humor that Dalla’s provided us with gave a very different story line. Predictability, we think not! We cant wait to see whats up next in Bradley's Whistle.

If you are looking for something really different to read then this is the book for you.

I've wondered, on occasion, what porn stars do when they want to have a serious relationship or fall in love. Do they keep on being a porn star? Do they enjoy sex with their partner if they have been doing it at 'work' all day? Where does that libido come from?

All of this is answered in Decker's Wood <-- that's Decker's manly bit by the way or lack of....

So yeah, Decker Steele is an adult movie star and has been for quite a few years. He is not so young any more (still early 30's though) and is having issues with erectile disfunction, which is no good in his industry. All the woman are beautiful but the amount of silicone, botox and fake tanning is not so beautiful.

Decker agree's to help out his best mate by keeping an eye on his little sister ho has just moved to the city. Andi is all grown up now and is adorably cute but sexy at the same time. Not only does Decker notice but his man bits ds too. Yay for him, finally a stirring in the loins that has not come from a little blue pill.

Andi is completely off limits though, his name would be mud if he made a move on her but damn he is tempted.

Maybe it's time he gave up on his career and settled down? Andi is just the sort of girl that a man would want to marry and settle down with. She is stirring up all these feelings in him that he has never experienced before. Could he finally be a one woman man?

This was such a great read, lots of hilarious moments and heaps of fun )
I can't believe how much I enjoyed Decker's Wood. I've had it sitting on my kindle for ages and kept putting off reading it. My friends had raved about how funny and sexy Decker was, so when it was on special I bought it with plans to read it...soon. I was hesitant to read and like a hero who is a porn star. I mean the man has EXPERIENCE. Lots and lots of it. Could I put myself in the shoes of the heroine and picture myself having a relationship with someone who is paid to have sex? IF, you managed to get your confidence up enough to try him out, would your confidence hold up time and time again when beautiful women approach him wanting to try him out too?

So, I did it. At first I thought Decker was a putz and that I would be reading this for the "experience" and not necessarily my enjoyment. Then we get to know Decker and meet a little country bumpkin by the name of Andi who surprises him enough to start looking at his life and choices a bit differently. The Andi Decker meets now is very different from the young, shy teenager with her nose permanently in a book. This Andi is mature, confident and knows what she wants...sort of.

We meet some fantastic side characters in Andi's neighbours and some of Decker's porn mates. Bradley, who is Andi's cousin and Decker's best mate is the one who brought them together. He is very close to the two of them but thinks it would be a bad idea for them to be together. Decker's family are lovable and close. They know about his career, not necessarily happy about it but love him enough to get past it.

This was a steamy read. Obviously, Decker has experience and in the first part of the story we hear a bit about his exploits. At this stage the couple are not together so I don't have an issue. He does have women throw themselves at him which Andi does see first-hand. There was one scene towards the end of the story that skated the lines of cheating but there were twenty other things going on at that particular moment, I was distracted. By the time I realised, I had processed it and was ready to move on.

In the end I really enjoyed this story. By the time the sort of cheating happened, I was already in love with Decker and I was justifying and making excuses (in my head) for him. That says a lot for this story because I don't do cheating at all. The characters were funny, sexy and lovable. We see a different side to the porn industry and who the actors really are. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
